New Associate Director appointed
Following Jenny’s appointment as Co-Artistic Director for the London 2012 Paralympic Games Opening Ceremony we are delighted to announce that Amit Sharma has joined us as Associate Director. Working alongside Jenny, Judith and the Graeae team, Amit will take a lead role implementing the company’s artistic programme throughout 2012.
Amit came to us through Graeae’s Missing Piece training course and has gone on to work as an actor and director at the BBC, The National Theatre, Hampstead Theatre, Theatre Royal Stratford East, The Lowry, Tamasha Theatre Company and The Unicorn where he was an Ensemble member.

“I'm incredibly excited about the role of Associate Director. Graeae has been a big influence on my career. I have worked extensively with the company as an actor, workshop leader and Assistant Director. This position gives me the opportunity to engage with the artistic work, training and education and to continue, as ever, to be an ambassador for this unique and brilliant company.” Amit Sharma
“Amit has been an important part of Graeae ever since he arrived as a new actor on the Missing Piece course eleven years ago. It has been extremely rewarding watching him develop his own artistic expertise. He understands the complexity of Graeae and the vision and he has always shown real commitment to company and our core values. It is wonderful to have him on board in this new role.” Jenny Sealey
“We are delighted to welcome Amit into this new and exciting role. He will be an important part of Graeae’s next phase of development as it embraces the excitement of the Paralympic Opening Ceremony and the challenges of the current funding environment. We have lots of new projects planned for the coming year and are looking forward to Amit bringing his unique talents to the company.” Dawn Langley, Chair
